Landfill growth

The Construction and Demolition Cell of the Mat-Su Borough landfill is where dumped building materials end up. It is estimated that 30-40% of those items are useful and can be salvaged. If we keep them out of the waste stream the landfill's growth slows; reducing costs, delaying the need for expansion and the space required. This results in savings of upwards to $125,000 a year.
